Triplets Hit Leon Drive

I ventured out the other day and got the babies into the stroller for a walk down my parents' street...Leon Drive. It's the street I grew up on and we visited a few old friends. We saw The Olsons, Judy, and The Bleaklys. Mrs. Bleakly snapped these shots of Alton, Baxter, and Charlotte. It was so very nice to share the babies with my childhood family friends. ps...people keep saying that Baxter looks like me as a baby. hmmmm maybe so.

Queen of the Castle

Charlotte (with high-pitched affected voice): "Oh Daddy, please put that box under my feet so I can bounce correctly in my thrown...and when will you be getting me a proper footstool? That box is so common. And Alton, stop that screaming in my ear, it's rather annoying and totally impolite. Now Baxter, why must you whine so? Can't you see that I need Mommy & Daddy's attention at this moment? Where is that Cleo to entertain me...if only I had a lap for her to sit on where she belongs. Yes Mommy, thank you so much for bringing me my beloved binky; you know how much I adore it. Splendid...hmmmm....in a moment I think I'd fancy a bit of warm milk. Ahhhhhhh...it's good to be queen. Yes Mommy, I said QUEEN...carry on everyone."

On the Coffee Table

Our coffee table has become a collection of odd items. Tonight the present items are:

2 phones - 1 G2X and 1 work-supplied Blackberry
1 laptop - being used at this moment
1 tub of Desitin for Alton's skin (not his butox)
1 bottle of saline for Baxter's nose
1 nasal aspirator (again for Baxtor)
1 pad & pen with a list of questions for 4 mo. check-up tomorrow
1 key for the shed that Kreg just made --- ???
1 bowl of sugar snap peas for snacking (should this not be on the table with the baby care items??)

Needless to say, I haven't had time to straighten up and we have a lot on our plates...or table.

Happy Birthday Mommy

So I'm not really including a bunch of birthday pictures from my awesome birthday party. Maybe it's because I'm not super excited about the number 35...which would explain the comfort-oriented sweats I wore on the big day. No pics to prove it please... BUT, I will post this big 'ole Alton-style smile that was captured on that day. Cheers!

"Sing...Sing a Song"

"...make it simple, to last the whole day long..."

Well, that's exactly what we do here at the Jones household. It's either my mother or I that are typically singing a little ditty to the trio. That's how the Stimsons roll. If Laura's helping, she will of course serenade them...but it's most surprizing when Kreg or Lita chime in. I've heard that Grammie sings a mean "Row, Row, Row Your Boat", but apparently it stops there. :)

Below are a few of Mommhy & Daddy's favorites:

The "Go-to Lullabies" for the boys...
- "I love you truly (Alton or Baxter) Jones" - sung to the tune of an old sorority song (yes, I said sorority) "I love you truly KKG".
- "Momma's Gonna Buy You a Mockingbird" - the problem is I need to learn the lyrics since after "and if that diamond ring don't shine", I end up telling them I'll buy them a porcupine.

The "Mommy and Daddy Are Going Bonkers" Songs...
- "4 to 6 Meltdown" - this is a jazzy little number that daddy starts in at when the fussing begins...guess...yes, at 4pm
- "I've Got Poopy in my Pants" - who dosen't love this classic? "Poopy in my Pants" has been a favorite in the house since the first day when the boys were home from the NICU. Needless to say, there was a lot of poopy in pants.
- "Are You Feeling Milky, My Friend" - Once again, a genius piece composed by Daddy to gear the babies up for another feeding.

There are more, but we'll save them for another time.
